Pet In-House Lab & Diagnostics

Why In-House Diagnostics Matter

Early detection is essential when it comes to treating illness and managing chronic conditions. Our in-house diagnostics for dogs and cats give us a deeper look at your pet’s internal health, often revealing imbalances or changes before symptoms even appear. These tools help us monitor:

  • Organ function
  • Blood cell counts
  • Metabolic and thyroid health
  • Parasites
  • Kidney markers and more

With a focus on early illness detection for pets, we can develop a care plan that supports your pet’s wellness every step of the way.

What’s Included in Pet Our In-House Lab Testing

Our pet wellness diagnostics typically include:

Complete Blood Count (CBC) – Evaluates red/white blood cells, platelets, infections, and anemia

Blood Chemistry Panel – Assesses organ function, blood sugar, and electrolyte balance

Thyroid Testing (T4) – Especially important for senior pets and metabolic health

SDMA – Detects kidney issues earlier than traditional tests

Heartworm Testing – Screens for common parasites affecting dogs and cats

Depending on your pet’s needs, we may also recommend ProBNP, urine analysis, fecal testing, or specialized panels.

Fast, Accurate Results with a Personal Touch

Our in-house lab allows us to run tests right here in our clinic—giving you answers quickly and accurately. This means less waiting, less stress, and faster action if treatment is needed. And because your pet’s diagnostics are performed by a team who already knows and cares for them, you can trust the results are in expert hands.

When to Schedule Lab Work

We recommend diagnostic testing for pets as part of their regular wellness care. It’s also helpful:

  • Before surgical or dental procedures
  • When starting a new medication
  • If your pet has a chronic condition
  • When your pet seems “off” or isn’t acting like themselves

Routine lab work provides a baseline to help us monitor even subtle changes over time.
